The gym, and what it pairs with
The gym and a doctor-led programme: what each does for weight loss
Training builds strength, fitness and a routine. A doctor-led programme finds what your blood shows and sets food, sleep and training around it. They do different jobs, and together they cover both.
Start with the test: Health assessment, collected at home and read with you by a registered doctor, ₹1,799.
Side by side
What each one brings
Neither replaces the other. The gym is where strength is built; the programme is where the plan around it is worked out and checked.
| The gym | A doctor-led programme | |
|---|---|---|
| Strength and fitness | Yes. Resistance training builds and keeps muscle, so the weight that changes comes from fat rather than strength. | A fitness coach plans your training around your results and your routine. |
| Finds what your blood shows | Not its job. | Yes. A home blood test, read by a registered doctor: insulin, thyroid, sugar control, lipids and liver. |
| Food plan | Sometimes general advice from a trainer. | A nutritionist plans meals from your report and the food you already eat. |
| Check-ins | Your sessions, on your schedule. | Weekly coaching, daily support on WhatsApp and a monthly doctor review. |
Why the blood test matters to training
Two people, the same workout, different results
Two people can train the same way for the same months and see very different change. Often the difference is metabolic: one has insulin that stays high after meals, the other a thyroid that runs slow. Training alone cannot see either.
A doctor-led programme measures those first. The doctor reads the panel with you, the nutritionist and fitness coach plan from it, and your training starts pulling in the same direction as your food and your sleep.
Keep your gym
The programme plans around your membership
If you already train, keep going. Programmes include training at your gym once a clinician says you are ready, and your fitness coach plans sessions around the days and equipment you have.
If you do not train yet, you start where you are. The fitness coach sets a pace that fits your results, your joints and your week, and builds from there.
Questions
Questions people ask
Is the gym enough for weight loss?
Training is a strong part of it, especially for keeping muscle. It does more when food, sleep and training are planned around what your blood shows, which is what a doctor-led programme adds.
Should I start with the gym or the diet?
Start with the test. Once a doctor has read your blood panel with you, both the food plan and the training plan are set around your results, so neither is guesswork.
Can I keep my gym membership on the programme?
Yes. Your fitness coach plans around the gym you already use, and training at your gym is part of the programme once a clinician says you are ready.
